Projections is an annual anthology of articles by filmmakers about filmmaking - founded and edited by John Boorman and Walter Donohue. Anyone interested in filmmaking or film appreciation should follow this series - the current issue features Chris Doyle's diary about the making of Wong Kar-Wai's Happy Together, and an inspired debate by the world's film critics about the relevance and future of film reviewing and criticism. Each issue costs about AUD $28-30 and are available from most city and university bookstores. Toto especially recommends Projections 1, 3, 6 and 8. Buy them before the GST kicks in, or order your copies over the net and hence avoid this insidious tax on books.
